The "Dual Laminate Fabrication
Association" site. "DLFA" was formed to promote the use
of Dual Laminate structures composed of a thermoplastic liner
over-wrapped with fiber glass reinforcement.
These structures have found uses
in handling various types of corrosive liquids and gases as well
as hi-purity liquids. Tanks, pipe, fittings, fume scrubbers
and various other chemical vessels are made in this manner and provide
a cost effective answer to the problems addressed.
"DLFA" has worked to
bring to design engineers, accustomed to working with metallic structures,
information and standards that make it easier to determine when
Dual Laminate structures are the best solution. The Navigation
Buttons shown in the left margin are:
Dual Laminate Overview
- narrative description of dual laminate tanks and piping for corrosion
resistance.
Corrosion Guide - comprehensive
charts of the chemical resistance of commonly used thermoplastic
materials for about 350 chemicals.
Technical Papers - reference
list of papers on Dual Laminate tanks, scrubbers, piping and assembly..
ASME RTP-1 Specifications
- Introduction to the ASME RTP-1. Specifications for "Reinforced
Thermoset Plastic Corrosion Resistant Equipment"
Members - listing of members
and their capabilities.
Links to Web Sites -
members and associated companies.
Membership Form - Form for
submittal of a membership application.
DLFA Contacts- Officer names
and e-mail addresses.
This web site has been established
to provide a central clearing house for the above information. The
initial site includes the complete interactive chemical resistance
chart, a list of association members and reference to standards
and available technical papers.
